[Holiday Notice] Dragon Boat Festival June 16, 2010
( 2010/05/19 12:31:35 )
Duanwu Festival, or the Dragon Boat Festival, is celebrated on May 5th of the Lunar Calendar. The tradition is more than triangle rice dumpling and dragon boat race. Chinese consider this month as ¡§poison month¡¨ because it is the first month of summer and many bugs and worms become more active. In order to protect the family away from illness and disease, we will hang Ay Tsao, various herbs on the front door and wear Hsiang Bao, the sachet with medicinal herbs on the neck. These could chase unwelcome animals out of your home.
Please kindly note that our Taiwan and Xiamen facilities will be closed for this national holiday on June 16.
